Elected in May 2019 as the Leader of Warwick District Council District, Andrew Day has served as a Councillor for Bishop’s Tachbrook for a number of years. He has also served on Planning, Finance and Administration and Employment Committees, having previously been a Parish Council Member for 12 years. After last year’s election, Andrew declared a Climate Emergency for Warwick District and is working with all the political leaders to develop a Climate Emergency Action Programme and lead the council through a Referendum to fund it.
Away from the Council, Andrew is the Chief Executive of Gifted Philanthropy Ltd – an international fundraising consultancy, specialising in raising large sums for specific projects in relative short periods of time for not for profit organisations. He is married with two grown-up children, two Labradors and an irrational interest in Australian cricket!
